FAQQuestions, answered straight.
Short, self-contained answers about FusionCraft. Each one is written to stand on its own.
What is FusionCraft?
FusionCraft is a word-crafting discovery game set in one shared world of 12,729 ideas. Everyone plays in the same world: drag two words together and they fuse into something new, and the first player in the world ever to craft a word gets their name set into it, forever. Season 1, the Founding Season, is a community goal to find the first 12,000 together. It is free to play in the browser today and is coming to iPhone and Android.
How do you play FusionCraft?
You start with four base elements (Sun, Sea, Stone and Storm) and drag one into another to fuse them into something new, so Sun and Sea make Steam. Every word you create becomes an ingredient, and chains of fusions lead to the deep corners of a world of 12,729 elements. The world was built and curated before the season started, so the same combination resolves the same way for every player.
What are the starting elements in FusionCraft?
Every FusionCraft player starts with the same four elements: Sun, Sea, Stone and Storm. Combining any two of them produces a new word, and from those four everything else in the world is reachable. There is no way to start with a different set, which is part of what keeps first discoveries fair.
How many elements are in FusionCraft?
The FusionCraft world holds 12,729 elements. Season 1 asks the community to find the first 12,000 of them together, which leaves a deliberate tail of rarer words beyond the goal so that crafting never runs dry.
How do First Discoveries work in FusionCraft?
The first player in the world ever to craft a word claims its First Discovery: their name is set into that word, and every player who makes it later sees who found it first. Claims are first-come and permanent, recorded once on a global ledger and never taken away, even after the season ends. Being a moment late still counts as second, which is what makes being first worth chasing.
Is FusionCraft free? What does it cost?
FusionCraft is free to play in your browser at playfusioncraft.com/play, with no download and no sign-up to start. On iPhone and Android it will be a one-time $2.99 purchase with no ads, no subscriptions, free updates, so there is nothing else to buy, ever.
Can I play FusionCraft on the web?
Yes. FusionCraft runs in any modern browser at playfusioncraft.com/play, and it is the same liquid crafting field the mobile apps are built on. The browser version is the full crafting field, with its own shared counter and its own First Discovery ledger. Crafting needs no account; claiming a word as your own First Discovery does, because the name has to belong to somebody.
Do I need an account to play FusionCraft?
Not to play: crafting in the browser needs no account, no password, and no email. Claiming a word as your own First Discovery does need a free account, because that name is written beside the word permanently and has to belong to somebody, so you sign in with Google, Apple, GitHub or Discord and pick a crafter name. The iPhone and Android apps have no accounts at all, and the name beside a first there is generated for you rather than typed.
When is FusionCraft coming to iPhone and Android?
FusionCraft is in development for iPhone and Android and is headed for the App Store and Google Play. No release date has been announced for either platform. The browser version is the way to play today, and it is the same game running on the same shared world.
When does Season 1 of FusionCraft end?
Season 1, the Founding Season, ends when the community finds its 12,000th word. There is no timer and no fixed date, because the season is a shared goal and reaching it together is the event. Every First Discovery claimed during the season is kept forever.
What happens when the world is completed?
Crafting keeps working, because the world holds 12,729 elements, more than the 12,000-word goal, so there is always something left to make. Every First Discovery stays with the player who claimed it, and everyone holding at least one when the season completes keeps a Founding Crafter badge forever. A brand-new, larger world is already being forged for the next season.
Is FusionCraft multiplayer?
FusionCraft is a shared-world game rather than a head-to-head one: every player crafts in the same world of 12,729 elements, filling in the same map together. One global counter tracks what the community has found, and one permanent ledger records who found each word first. You never wait for a match, because the competition is simply who gets there first.
Is FusionCraft an AI game? Are results generated while I play?
Nothing in FusionCraft is generated while you play. The world of 12,729 elements was built and curated ahead of time and then frozen, and your fusions resolve against that fixed world on your own device, so the same combination gives the same word for everyone. That consistency is what makes First Discoveries meaningful.
Does FusionCraft work offline?
Crafting works without a connection, because the whole world ships with the game and fusions resolve on your own device. A connection is what adds the shared layer: the global counter, the leaderboard, and claiming a First Discovery on the permanent ledger.
How do I contact the FusionCraft team?
Email support@playfusioncraft.com for help with the game, a bug, or a question about a discovery you made. Press enquiries go to press@playfusioncraft.com, and anything about the Terms, privacy, or a dispute goes to legal@playfusioncraft.com. Every one of those reaches a real person; there is no ticket system to wait behind.
Who makes FusionCraft?
FusionCraft is made by Tobie (tobie.team). Joshua Andrewlavage founded the studio and is its CEO, and he engineered the game and the word engine behind it. It is built as one liquid material system: the icon and mark are rendered by the game's own shader, and the sound effects are synthesized by its own tools.
