How it worksA world you pull apart with your hands.
FusionCraft is played by touch. Words are drops of liquid glass on a dark field, and everything in the game (discovery, competition, the season itself) flows out of one gesture: drag two of them together.
How do you combine words in FusionCraft?
Every player begins with the same four base elements: Sun, Sea, Stone and Storm. Drag one into another and they pull toward each other, join membranes, and fuse. Release deep inside and the pair resolves, so Sun and Sea become Steam. Pull out before the join completes and the drop pinches off, back to how it was. It feels less like tapping a button and more like handling liquid.
A world built before you arrived
Everything you make becomes a new ingredient, and chains of fusions lead outward from the bases to the deep, strange corners: the world holds 12,729 elements, generated and curated before the season began, then frozen. Nothing is invented while you play. A fusion resolves the same way for every player on Earth, which is exactly what makes getting somewhere first mean something.
What is a First Discovery?
The first player in the world ever to craft a word claims its First Discovery. Their name is set into the word itself, and every player who makes it afterward sees who found it first. Claims are first-come and permanent, recorded once and kept forever, even after the season completes. Arriving a moment late still counts as second, so deep in uncharted territory every fusion is a small gamble of glory. The glossary defines every term the game uses.
One counter, 12,000 words, everyone
Season 1 is the Founding Season. One global counter climbs every time anyone makes a first discovery, and the community's shared goal is 12,000. The world deliberately holds more elements than the goal, so crafting never runs dry, and completing the season is the event rather than the ending. Anyone holding a First Discovery when the counter crosses the line keeps it forever.
The Daily Discovery
Each day the game names one target word, chosen so it can actually be reached in a sitting. Finding it is a puzzle in the classic morning-coffee shape: a few minutes of chained fusions, a result you can compare with friends, a streak worth protecting.
Seasons
When the Founding Season completes, the names stay. The world stays playable, first discoveries remain exactly where their finders left them, and a brand-new, larger world (already being forged) opens the next season with fresh territory to claim.
Where can you play FusionCraft?
FusionCraft is free to play in your browser right now, with no download and no sign-up to start. Apps for iPhone and Android, built for touch and haptics, are in development for the App Store and Google Play. The browser version is the full crafting field, with its own shared counter and its own First Discovery ledger. Crafting needs no account; claiming a word as your own First Discovery does, because the name has to belong to somebody. If you want a genre for it, this is a word-crafting discovery game, though the feel is its own. Common questions are answered in the FAQ.
